This vibrant washed coffee comes from the Simbai region of Papua New Guinea, known for its mountainous terrain and fertile volcanic soil. Simbai Balus Kopi, meaning “Simbai Airplane Coffee” is uniquely sourced, coming from over 4,000 smallholder farmers in this isolated region across four airstrips. The washed process gives us a beautiful balanced cup with rich chocolatey notes and a clean, lower acidic profile.
